The tech giant promotes transparent development in enterprise AI

At the technology summit, International Business Machines' David Cox delivered a convincing case for open innovation in business machine learning. Cox, VP of artificial intelligence systems and leader at the joint MIT and IBM artificial intelligence laboratory, underscored the crucial nature of openness in technological advancement, especially in the present machine learning environment.
David emphasized the multifaceted nature of openness in AI, challenging the binary perception of the idea. He noted the expanding network of accessible frameworks from diverse origins, including technology corporations, academic institutions, and countries.
Nevertheless, he voiced concerns about the quality of openness in various AI language systems, pointing out that certain models offer barely more than a collection of data points lacking transparency in their production methods.
